RugbyPass TV Terms and Conditions of Use
Welcome to the official website, streaming platform and application for RugbyPass TV (together, "RugbyPass TV”). RugbyPass TV is provided by RugbyPass Limited (“We” / “Us”) for and on behalf of World Rugby and/or its associated companies, their subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies (including but not limited to World Rugby, Rugby World Cup Limited, Rugby Pass Limited, World Rugby Tournaments Limited, World Rugby Limited, World Rugby Events DAC , collectively "World Rugby") as an information and streaming service that enables users to access certain sport and entertainment content, subject to the following terms and conditions relating to the use of RugbyPass TV.
By accessing RugbyPass TV and/or any pages thereof, you signify your agreement with, understanding and acceptance of, these terms and conditions and all information pertaining to both RugbyPass TV and any content on it. If you do not agree to and accept these terms and conditions, you do not have permission to access the contents of RugbyPass TV and therefore should cease using RugbyPass TV immediately.
In addition, when using any particular functions or applications on RugbyPass TV, you shall be subject to any guidelines or rules or additional terms and conditions applicable to such functions or applications which may be posted from time to time. All such guidelines, rules or additional terms and conditions shall be supplemental to these terms and conditions.
- No Offer of Service
Unless otherwise expressly stated, the content on RugbyPass TV is for information purposes only. We make no representation that content on RugbyPass TV is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. Users and visitors who choose to access RugbyPass TV do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Intellectual Property
RugbyPass TV was created by and is owned and operated by or on behalf of World Rugby.
All rights, including applicable copyright, database and broadcast rights in RugbyPass TV and its contents, are owned by or licensed to World Rugby, or otherwise used by World Rugby as permitted by applicable law. Furthermore, all rights in company names, trade names, logos, product packaging and designs of World Rugby, or World Rugby sponsors, licensees, suppliers, or other third-party products or services, belong exclusively to World Rugby or such third-party, as applicable, or their respective owners, and are protected from reproduction, imitation, dilution or confusing or misleading uses under national and international laws, as applicable.
The use or misuse of these trade marks, rights, content or any materials (including use as a domain name or as part of a domain name) except as permitted under these terms and conditions, is expressly prohibited and nothing stated or implied on RugbyPass TV confers on you any licence or right under any patent, copyright work, trade mark, design or other right of a similar nature of World Rugby or any third party.
Nothing stated or implied in RugbyPass TV is designed to grant any licence or right under any copyright or other intellectual property rights of World Rugby or any third party or to use any names, logos, pictures, trade marks or other works or content featured on RugbyPass TV. No act of downloading or otherwise copying, reproducing, deriving or editing from RugbyPass TV will transfer title to you of any software, trademarks, content or material on RugbyPass TV, unless express statements are communicated to you to the contrary in writing by World Rugby.
- Modifications and acceptance
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice to you by posting changes online. You are responsible for regularly reviewing any information posted online on RugbyPass TV to obtain timely notice of such changes. You should review these terms and conditions on a regular basis when visiting RugbyPass TV to keep yourself updated and informed on any such updates or changes. Your continued use of RugbyPass TV following any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of the revised or updated terms and conditions as modified by the posted changes.
- Own Non-Commercial Use
You may view, download, and print contents from RugbyPass TV subject to the following conditions: (a) the content may be used solely for information purposes and for your own personal non-commercial private use; and (b) the content may not be modified, adapted or altered in any way. You may not copy, store in any medium (including without limitation on any other website), modify, adapt, mine, spider/scrape (i.e. use a computer programme to collect or aggregate content from RugbyPass TV), publish, distribute by any means (including without limitation via any peer-to-peer networks), prepare derivative works from, broadcast, communicate to the public or transmit any part of RugbyPass TV or any of the content contained in RugbyPass TV or otherwise use the content or any portion of the content for any other purpose other than as explicitly permitted herein. Any other use requires the prior written permission of World Rugby. The provisions in this clause should be treated as an express reservation of our rights in this regard, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790).
Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the prohibitions set out in this paragraph apply without limitation to any audio recording or commentary, visual or audio-visual works (whether live, delayed or recorded), data, statistics, live scoring services, text commentary services, reviews, articles, trade marks, logos or photographs (or any part of any of the foregoing) that appear on RugbyPass TV. You may not frame or use framing techniques to enclose any trade mark, logo, content or other proprietary information or content (including images, video, audio, text, page layout, or form) of World Rugby or from RugbyPass TV without the express written consent of World Rugby. Without prejudice to general prohibition on linking to RugbyPass TV without World Rugby’s prior consent, you may not use any meta tags or any other "hidden text" using World Rugby’s name or trade marks without the express written consent of World Rugby. You may not use the words “Rugby Pass", “Rugby World Cup”, “World Rugby”, or any Rugby World Cup tournament or World Rugby logo or other proprietary graphic or trade mark as any button or link to RugbyPass TV without express written permission from World Rugby.
You agree to use RugbyPass TV only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of RugbyPass TV by World Rugby, other RugbyPass TV users and/or any third party. Such restriction or inhibition includes, without limitation, conduct which is unlawful, or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person and the transmission of obscene, defamatory or offensive content or disruption of normal flow of communications and operations or functionality within RugbyPass TV.
You do not acquire any ownership rights to any content in RugbyPass TV. Any unauthorised use of RugbyPass TV by you terminates the permission or right granted to you in relation to your use of RugbyPass TV and shall constitute a clear and material breach of these terms and conditions.
Although we take reasonable care to ensure that the information and data on RugbyPass TV is accurate at the time of publication, all content posted on RugbyPass TV is for general information purposes only and no representation or guarantee (including liability towards third parties), expressed or implied, is made as to the accuracy, reliability or completeness of any content or material posted on RugbyPass TV. In addition, you specifically acknowledge that RugbyPass TV uses a high speed news and information service for publishing scores, content, news and information and due to the short time span between the occurrence of an event and its reporting or inclusion on RugbyPass TV, it is possible that inaccuracies may be occasionally published.
World Rugby is not responsible or liable in any way for the content of external or third party internet websites that link to RugbyPass TV or which are linked from it.
World Rugby does not warrant that the functions, services, applications and facilities contained on or provided by RugbyPass TV will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that RugbyPass TV or the server that makes it available are free of viruses, bugs, spyware or similar flaws or represent the full functionality, accuracy, and reliability of any materials, content or other applications on RugbyPass TV. The names, images and logos identifying the Rugby World Cup, World Rugby, RugbyPass or third parties and their products and services are proprietary marks of World Rugby and/or the third parties. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring by implication any licence or right under any copyright, trade mark or patent or other intellectual property of World Rugby or any other third party.
Any material or content downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of RugbyPass TV is done at your own discretion and risk and you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or device with which you access RugbyPass TV as well as for any loss of data that results from the download or use of any such material or content.
You acknowledge and agree that the views of the editorial team published on RugbyPass TV are not the views of World Rugby or of its officers and directors.
Advertisements may be published on RugbyPass TV in the form of buttons, banners, interstitials, pop-ups or other forms of online advertising on behalf of official partners and third party advertisers. World Rugby is not responsible for the content of such advertisements and accepts no liability in relation to any representations made therein, content or materials included in such advertisements or any losses of any kind, scope or nature arising in reliance upon such advertisements.
Your use of RugbyPass TV is on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to (to the extent permitted by law) implied warranties of satisfactory quality, suitability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

Links to third party websites on RugbyPass TV are provided solely as a convenience to you. If you use these links, you will leave RugbyPass TV. You acknowledge and agree that World Rugby has no responsibility for the accuracy or availability of information, material or content provided by or included on third party linked websites, access to which may be governed by the terms and conditions applicable to those websites. Links to such third party websites do not constitute an endorsement by World Rugby of such websites or the content, products, or other materials or services presented on such websites.
Information in the many web pages that are linked to RugbyPass TV, and the applications and services available through RugbyPass TV, come from a variety of sources. World Rugby does not author, edit, or monitor the content, links, or services provided by third parties or third party websites. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORLD RUGBY SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED BY OR IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF OR RELIANCE ON ANY SUCH CONTENT, PRODUCTS, OR OTHER MATERIAL AVAILABLE ON RUGBYPASS TV OR ON THIRD PARTY LINKED WEBSITES. It is our policy not to permit links to RugbyPass TV (including so-called "deep links" to pages of RugbyPass TV other than the homepage) without our prior written permission.
- Third Parties
World Rugby does not itself supply any goods or paid-for subscription services on RugbyPass TV. Any such supply of goods or paid-for subscription services are supplied by third parties whose websites and purchase terms will be governed by their own terms and conditions.
If you submit any contribution to RugbyPass TV or to World Rugby (including without limitation any text, graphics, photo, video or audio) you are required by such submission to grant World Rugby a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable and transferable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, publish, distribute, broadcast, transmit, communicate to the public, perform, play, and exercise all copyright, database rights, publicity rights and other intellectual property rights with respect to any such work worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any media now known or hereinafter developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content.
If you do not wish to grant such rights to World Rugby, you should not submit your contribution to RugbyPass TV or to World Rugby. You also waive irrevocably on a perpetual basis (or, where such waiver is not permitted under the laws of any jurisdiction, agree not to enforce) any moral rights or rights of paternity which may exist in your contributions.
By submitting your contribution to RugbyPass TV, you also warrant that such contribution (a) is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to World Rugby for all the purposes specified above, (b) is not defamatory and (c) does not infringe any law or the rights of any third party.
- Data Protection
- E-mail Service
In situations where we may give you the option to subscribe to any e-mail or newsletter service which will update you with news or information relating to your interests, your use of the content received through such e-mail or newsletter service will also be subject to these terms and conditions.
- Children under 16
If you are under 16, you must obtain the approval of your parents or a guardian before you:
- E-mail RugbyPass TV, or ask World Rugby/RugbyPass TV to e-mail anything to you;
- Send in any information via RugbyPass TV;
- Purchase anything online through or in connection with RugbyPass TV.
- No Confidential Information
We do not wish to receive confidential or proprietary information from you through RugbyPass TV. Please note that any information, content or material sent by you to us via RugbyPass TV will be deemed NOT to be confidential. By sending us any information, content or material, you grant World Rugby an unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, perform, modify, transmit and distribute those materials or information, and you also agree that we are free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques that you send us for any purpose.
- Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORLD RUGBY WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY WHETHER FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR TORT ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF RUGBYPASS TV, OR ANY OTHER HYPERLINKED WEBSITE, OR INFORMATION OR CONTENT CONTAINED ON ANY SUCH WEBSITE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOST PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF PROGRAMS OR OTHER DATA ON YOUR INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WORLD RUGBY IS EXPRESSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts World Rugby’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence.
As a condition of use of RugbyPass TV, you agree to indemnify World Rugby, including its affiliates, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all liabilities, other expenses (including costs and legal fees) and damages arising out of claims resulting from your use of RugbyPass TV.
If you communicate with World Rugby by e-mail or other digital means, you should note that the security of Internet e-mail is uncertain. By sending sensitive or confidential e-mail messages to us (including information submitted via a sign-up or registration form), you accept the risks of such uncertainty and possible lack of confidentiality by communications via the Internet.
We reserve the right at all times to terminate, upon notice to you and for any reason, including for your violation of any of these terms and conditions, your right to access and use RugbyPass TV in any way.
If any of these terms and conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms and conditions are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction which that term or condition is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and/or deleted (as applicable) and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive, remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens and we will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under these terms and conditions.
If there is any conflict between these terms and conditions and/or specific terms appearing elsewhere on RugbyPass TV relating to specific material, content, services, applications or functions of RugbyPass TV, then the latter shall prevail.
These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with, the same or their subject matter or formation (including any dispute or claim relating to non-contractual obligations) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. If you are a consumer and you are resident in a European Union member state to which RugbyPass TV is directed you may benefit from and rely on any mandatory provisions of local law.
You and World Rugby agree to submit any dispute arising in connection with this Agreement to the courts of England and Wales (including any dispute or claim relating to non-contractual obligations). However if you are a consumer and you live in a European Union member state you may bring legal proceedings in respect of these terms and conditions in either the courts of England and Wales or the courts of that member state.
